We’ve all heard of the terms “self love”, “self care” and even “self help”. I, for one, have spent more time in the “Self Help” section of my local bookstore than I’d like to admit. What I’m talking about here is completely different though. Upon the release of my new line of CBD Drops, I have been saying “Help Yourself” (“Help Your Self”) a lot more and the reason for this is because I’ve learned the importance of it through the years. More importantly, I’ve grown completely unashamed of the fact that I “Help Myself”. So before your minds wander off way farther than you’d like for them to at the moment, let me further explain what I mean by this.
I have an anxiety disorder. I also have PMDD and I have episodes of depression. I’ve even been diagnosed with PTSD. That has been my reality for many, many years. I’ve grown to learn how to love myself regardless of these conditions and even in spite of them. I’ve learned how to take care of myself more and more over the years. Self Care. Self Love. Self Respect. You name it. Adopting the Ritual Life was something that saved my LIFE. All of these things that draw us closer to our Sacred Self are essential. As you do these, and honor your divine self, you will experience life through a lens that you will leave you in awe, inspired and motivated to live up to your full potential. It did for me. It opened my eyes to who I truly am.
Although once a month, for about 10 days… I don’t give a damn about any of it. That’s right… I said it. The truth of the matter is that we are magical souls having a HUMAN experience. Part of that human experience, is dealing with everything that these dense bodies. Part of that human experience is overcoming the obstacles that these bodies impose on us from time to time. I completely realized and recognized my pattern of insanity every single month so I decided to help myself; I started taking the oils being that I did not like pharmaceutical drugs.
It’s different for everyone but there is always a way for you to help yourself help yourself (lol). If something is in the way of you doing what you have to do in order to grow closer to yourself then seeking additional help is absolutely okay. This can look like many things such as a therapist, an essential oil, a support group, a coach, a massage therapist, vitamins and supplements… and yes, even medication if it’s safe and necessary. It’s time to tackle the things that have been holding you back from yourself.
As the veils thin out over time, the gravitational pull toward your Sacred Self and your Sacred Purpose becomes so strong that it can add more pressure than our bodies can handle. Therefore, in my case, causing more anxiety episodes and then causing more distance between you and exactly what you want. You can’t afford not to anymore. Help yourself. You KNOW what you need to do in order to get closer to the other side of the mountain… but sometimes you NEED a push. How will you help yourself?
